Was ist ein Buchclub?
Ein Buchclub besteht aus einer Gruppe von Menschen, welche gemeinsam ein Buch lesen. Man trifft sich einmal in der Woche/Monat und bespricht das gelesene Buch oder das gelesene Kapitel. Im "English Bookclub" werden nur Bücher auf Englisch gelesen. Der "English Bookclub" dienst dazu, seine Englischkenntnisse zu verbesser und Spass am lesen von englischen Büchern zu haben. Geleitet wird die Gruppe von der bekannten Alison Baillie.
Alison Baillie
Sie wurde in Yorkshire (Nordengland) geboren und studierte Englisch an der University of St Andrews. Alison Baillie hatte auf einer High School, in der Umgebung von Edinburgh, Englisch unterrichtet. Später entschloss sie sich dazu, Englisch auch in anderen Ländern wie Finnland und der Schweiz zu lehren. Sie liebt es schottische und skandinavische Krimis zu lesen. Ihr erstes Buch "Sewing the Shadows Together" erschien 2015. Für Ihr zweites Buch "A Fractured Winter" brauchte Sie zwei Jahre um es zu schreiben.
