Über den Autor Forster

(1879 -1970) gehört zuEnglands bedeutendsten Schriftstellerndes 20. Jahrhunderts, Romane wie »Wiedersehenin Howards End« oder »Zimmer mitAussicht« sind Klassiker der Moderne. Inseinem Roman »Maurice« behandelte erdas zu damaliger Zeit tabuisierte Thema derHomosexualität. Forster hielt den Roman,der erst postum erschien, fast ein halbesJahrhundert geheim. Seine Essays erscheinenerstmals auf Deutsch.Niklas Fischer arbeitet als Literaturwissenschaftler und Übersetzer. Er promovierte 2018 an der University of Sydney mit einer Dissertation zur literaturgeschichtlichen Wirkung E.M. Forsters. Er ist derzeit in der Zentralschweiz beheimatet und ist als Lehrbeauftragter an der Universität Fribourg tätig.
